Is it okay for me to like white girls more than any other race?

I’m a mixed Hispanic and black girl who is a lesbian and I’ve always been more attracted to white girls more than any other ethnicities. I feel like I might get like hate and things about it. 
I’ve always felt this way. My family used to tell me when I was younger don’t bring home anyone lighter than your grandad( his a very light skin black man). I’d get nervous and laugh it off a bit. But now I feel like I can’t really connect with anyone black that well maybe a couple here and there but not a lot. 
 
Can someone help me?

To me, preference is ok, prejudice is not. Who you are attracted to is more likely preference. However, since you're asking the question, you might want to explore your own internalized notions of what you deem "beautiful" or "sexy" or "attractive". We've all been influenced by social systems, including TV, movies, magazines, celebrities, etc. And a lot of what is upheld in our culture as "beautiful" is, and has been for literally generations, very white. So I wonder how much of this socialization you have internalized that maybe influenced your preference or "type". This could also affect your own view of yourself and your attractiveness, if you see yourself as beautiful or sexy or attractive. Again, I don't think it's wrong to have a preference, but it's also good to consider what's been "programmed" into you rather than what you're inherently attracted to.

Honestly I had a hard time connecting with black dudes. Tried so many times, but failed. It was always them judging me for who I was as a person (yes I know not all are like that). I was scared to date outside my race cause of all the horrible things you hear that happen. I think preference is okay as long as it’s not to be malice. I prefer dating other races than my own, but I’d still give them a chance. 
My current boyfriend is white, and the only person who wasn’t fund of it was his great grandpa. I gave him a chance because of his personality not his skin color.

I think you can't help who you are attracted to it's just nature. So no its not wrong. If you had a specific reason for it then maybe people might question but if you just naturally find yourself attracted to white girls then so be it. 
Personally my attraction is to mainly red heads. Male or female. It's not a conscious choice I make, I just tend to be more attracted to that hair colour x
