Why did he message me if he didn’t want to see me?

This guy I used to see messaged me of all sudden

Saying he found one of my eyelashes that I left at his house months ago

He then mentioned how he thought he would see me again but he was wrong cus I stopped talking to him

I told him the reason why I “ghosted him” was because he made me upset by a comment he made

He apologized and said he didn’t realize he said that felt awful

Si then i asked if he wanted to see me again and he said yes

I told I can go see him the following Monday

And he told me he’ll me know on Saturday (today) if he can and if that’s okay

I told him yes Just let me know

And he said he will

He never didn’t

Im just upset bc I thought he would actually care but he didn’t

What do I do in this situation I’m so tired and sad being led on by guys
