Do we have to give water at this age?

How much water should my toddler be drinking? She is on whole milk and formula right now and probable only drinks about an ounce or two of water a day.  Do we have to give water at this age?

My son drinks as much water as he wants 🤷🏻‍♀️ we just leave the sippy cup out for him.

Mine goes through about 2 cups a day, has it at all 3 meals, snack times and has access to it during the day as I put it down with his toys

Water keeps them hydrated without giving too much dairy. My ped said that too much dairy can affect their iron absorption so she says to limit it to 16-20oz a day and to give water in between meals to keep her hydrated. Not sure if the formula counts as dairy too... I would ask your ped.

I make sure there is either a water bottle or a sippy cup filled wherever we go and let him have a drink whenever he wants one.

We live in AZ and the summer is approaching so water is a must for use. My so drinks around 12-16 oz of water a day plus 12-16 oz of whole milk.

I give about 2 oz with juice!
