How do you pay for IVF??

How are all these people paying for IVF???? I just don’t get it!!! Who has that much money! My insurance doesn’t cover it and I can’t seem to get approved for these fertility loans. What do I do?? What can I do??

Can’t do anything but wait and save, our IVF is 15-20,000$ all out of pocket and up front. We can’t afford that! We’ve tried a lot of programs that help pay for ivf and can never get approved. So we wait. 💔

I’ve used affordable clinic called CNY fertility. It was about 8k. They also do payment plans.

my job insurance covered some the rest i paid myself because i been saving every since we found out that we needed to do ivf

We paid with a combination of insurance, flex spending account, tax refund, and a personal loan.

Our insurance wouldn’t cover ours either, we ended up getting a couple credit cards & and then used some money we had been saving up.

Cresit union loans and savings. It was supposed to be a cheap easy credit builder loan but then we had to take another for the D&C because ivf left us broke.

Try a loan worth your bank. It’s really expensive but sometimes you have to decide whether you go all in or not. We had to go that route and $20,000 later I’m in my tww.

Savings...I just paid $3300 for meds and next week I have to write a check for like 15K. 😫 hopeful this will all be worth it and we get what we are praying and hoping for, a precious little one! There’s no guarantee of course but I know I would be kicking myself if we don’t try this now while we are in our early/mid 30s. 
I know some people have done home equity lines of credit on their homes, asked family members for gifts or loans, done 401k loans, taken money out of their 401k, gotten second jobs, cut back on all “nonessential” things—going out to eat, vacations, nails, stuff like that. Everyone’s situation is a little different. Good luck!!

My husband and I have a business and we save as much as we can. Our ivf clinic takes payments from us per service rendered instead of all up front at the start of a cycle so that helps. We live in Mill Neck, NY (Long Island)

Loans for us. We also did donor embryos from the clinic after we used our 3.  Those transfers are way cheaper.  I'm sorry you have to worry about it 😔
