Thrush / pessary

I’m so grateful for this app and the fact you can ask anything 😂❤️

So I got diagnosed with thrush and my main symptom was an awfully sore vagina but not inside just outside labia etc and it was insanely itchy!! Anyways doctor prescribed some cream for outside which really stopped the itching and a pessary to put in over night.

Is it normal for the pessary to make the inside of your vagina sore/ feel like its burning!? I’m trying not to worry since it should be safe since the doctor prescribed it but the burning is not pleasant. Have any of you ladies also experienced this?
