I quit my job in January due to health problems, but now my child was diagnosed with a health issue and was diagnosed . His specialist told me to apply for fmla , but I’m not sure if I can since I quit my job . I want to go back to work, but I would love to stay longer and be with my son. 
Can I still get fmla?

If you aren’t working right now though, it doesn’t apply.  You may be able to file for disability insurance l, but that would depend on what’s available in your state.

FMLa is family medical leave of absence. It’s for your current job to hold your position for twelve weeks. There are certain guidelines you’d have to meet and small companies don’t have to offer it. If you don’t have a job then you can apply for FMLa. Its not paid anyway.
