Switching to Kyleena IUD

I’ve been on a low dose birth control pill for almost two years but until recently I have been getting migraines and I feel like my anxiety is starting to get out of control, no panic attacks but just extreme overthinking. I had a doctors appt today and my doctor recommended switching to the iud that has no hormones. The only thing that Is stopping me from getting it currently is the irregular bleeding after implanting because I had the depo shot for three months before and bled for a month straight until I couldn’t take it anymore and switched back to my pill. I also am going on vacation to mexico beginning of April and do not want to be bleeding the whole time I’m there so I do not know if I should just wait until after to get one. Basically what I’m asking, what are your experiences from switching over to the iud?
