difficulty getting my IUD out.

Has anyone ever had problems trying to get their IUD out? We wanted to start trying in February, but my family doctor cant find my strings (they were cut too short). She's tried 4 times since January. There are two days in my cycle when I can feel them, but I've had no luck when I actually get into the doctor. I did have an xray and confirmed it is there.

I cant get into my gyno until the end of April, and I'm just at a loss losing 3 chances to get pregnant.

Has anyone had to have their cervix dilated to get the iud out? Or have surgery?

After this I am seriously never ever getting another one.
