Drying up at 8 months?!

I have EBF up until starting solids at 6 months. I breastfeed before solids and right now solids are twice a day. When I wake up my breasts feel deflated especially right breast. They were fine a week ago so I don’t understand. I have been drinking tons of water. My little refuses bottles so if I can’t breastfeed I don’t know what to do. I don’t think it’s the solids since we nurse before eating and only do solids twice a day?? Had this happened to anyone else?

Hello. That’s just your body becoming settled in breastfeeding. My boobs feel just like the used to after a year of BF now but they can still produce the same milk and are NOT drying up just because they feel soft. They only way you can tell your baby is getting enough milk is by the number of wet and dirty nappies. If your baby’s doing fine then your supply should be absolutely fine if you’ve been doing it for 9 months. Just ensure you’re feeding on demand and the baby is still mostly taking in milk rather than solids at this point still. It sounds totally normal so I wouldn’t worry :) x

I still drink water but I’ve added a body armor drink everyday. It was recommended so I’m doing it.

My supply took huge dip when we started introducing solids. I still struggle but we’ve got 10.5m. I’m trying to get to 1 year. Good luck
