Are you still working amidst the Coronavirus outbreak?

Hey moms,
Is anyone taking time off from work due to Coronavirus scare? I work in schools in nyc and they still haven’t decided to shut my school down. There hasn’t been any reported cases in our district. Therefore I still have to report to work. 
I plan on asking my doctor soon what he recommends on me still going to work and being out and about while pregnant. 
Are you still working ? How do you commute to and from work ? Any recommendations from your doctor or did employer ask you to stay home ?

I’m a kindergarten teacher in Ohio and they just declared all schools have to be closed starting Monday so I’m thankful for that because at that age washing hands doesn’t do much when you look over and the kids is licking the table two seconds later!

I’m a middle school admin on the west coast. Schools are closed starting next week, but we were open through today. I have been sanitizing my keys, phone, shoes, and purse when I get home and the surfaces in my office a couple times a day. Lots of hand washing. 😣

I’m a dance instructor and my studio goes based off the county school calendar. As of right now, we are still having classes but if school is cancelled then we also have to close.

I don’t currently work but we live in Ohio and they just have the whole state 3 weeks off school. No get togethers of more than 150 people. And for my husbands job he is not allowed out to see clients (accountant). The closest place affected by us is 2hrs away.  That’s crazy they don’t just cancel things for places that are more infected.

I work in a school in England and I’m freaking out. We are literally the only country in Europe that hasn’t shut schools down. Considering how most European countries are now in lockdown and introducing drastic preventative measures, it doesn’t fill me with optimism that we’re still just told to wash our hands and carry on as normal. I’m starting to get really scared. I was told that since I’m in a higher risk group and been advised by my doctor to stay away -  if I want, I can go on “special leave” that is paid so I’m seriously considering this option. It’s just annoying that I’m the one worrying about it/trying to work out what to do, it’s the government’s job to look after the citizens. Pregnant women should be told to stay home.

I’m an attorney in Portland. Our office is encouraging people in high risk groups to work from home, so starting Monday that’s what I’m doing.

Work in school in Massachusetts. Every district is closed but since we are privately owned we are remaining open unfortunately

I work in San Francisco and started working from home on Monday, and my manager was super understanding of that decision. The company then instilled an everyone works from home for the next 30 days policy, starting today. I had a doctor’s appointment last week and my doctor said to not panic and just do what you’d normally do to avoid getting the flu. It’s hard to not panic a little when everyone is acting crazy though! If you’re able to, I’d try to work from home just to be extra cautious.

I’m a Radilogy RN and still working and will probably have to until I’m due June. I’m more terrified of bacterial meningitis (we have had four cases recently) than I am of Coronavirus. Good hand hygiene and lots of rest. Just take care or yourself and others. It will die off soon I hope...
