Request induction?

Question

Anyone in Canada able to request induction without complications? Just wondering at what point it’s an option. I know they do sometimes between 41-42 weeks but has anyone heard of people requesting early?

My OB offered it to me at 39 week appointment but I decided against it.. today was my 40 week appt and he let me pick Saturday as my induction date if baby doesn’t come before then! I wanted to hold off as long as I could but ultimately decided on this weekend. It’s nice to have an end in sight lol

I could have at 38 weeks. However held out and am 39 weeks today getting a sweep... 
So it's an option. I've had a fairly uncomfortable pregnancy so that was a contributing factor. Can't hurt to ask.

I'm 38w5d and pretty much requested an induction and possibly getting it today, only because I may have cholestasis and I can't stop scratching without ripping my skin open.

Like how early? Most doctors won’t do it without a medical reason before 39-40wks
