Bottom of bump gone soft?

Question

Can anyone shed some light on why? I’m 39+1 and I’d say the last 3 or 4 days my bump below my belly button has gone soft, like flabby, it did have a bit of a belly pre pregnancy and it just kinda feels like that allow the top is still hard. I would expect it to be the other way round if baby is getting lower at this stage. Any info would be greatly appreciated TIA

*update* baby has been back to back for a while. I spoke to my MW earlier and she said it’s likely baby has just moved further into my pelvis. 🤞🏻 it’s not long now. Feel really weird tonight and my back is killing me, come on baby let’s go!

Mine too. I thought the same thing but it’s definitely her butt on top so maybe it is her descending into the birth canal? Idk I’ll ask Thursday at my next appt but I’m only 38+2

If I could guess I’d say it’s because she’s now actually in the birthing canal. Butttttt I’m no OB, lol just an educated guess
