Will they separate mom and baby?

Will they separate mom and baby due to this corona virus crap? I just read a small article on fb about separation...Ik they might be limiting it to 1 person for delivery which I’m fine with but if there’s even a chance they will separate me from my baby I’m having my baby at home. I still have my income tax and will get everything I need to have him at home, idc. He will be here in May 😕

I would talk to your obgyn and or the pediatrician you chose for your baby. I don’t know if this helps at all.

I would honestly think it would be safer for the baby to be in room with you at all times. Less exposure to more the better. And I think (hope) by May this madness will have at least slowed down a bit.

I just had my baby yesterday.  My hubby has been with me through the whole thing, though no one else can visit, including grandparents.  Baby has been with us the entire time except for his routine check-ups, in which they take him to the nursery for a short period, then return him to room-in.

I’m sure because the baby would have already been “exposed” the baby would be able to stay with you!

On GMA this morning they were saying mothers could be separated or forced to continue extremely good hygiene practice. They also recommended pump and pitch because the risk is unknown.
