ARMPIT! Sounds crazy but it's the most accurate amd easiest place, unless you use the touch free ones, then you hover over the temple. Same goes for adults, if there is a fever to check an armpit will give you the most accurate result because less air gets to the area to cool it off surface wise, so it will stay the closest to regular body temperature.
