For your first prenatal appointment, did you take your other children?

Did you or are you planning to take your other children to your first prenatal appointment? If you did, how older were your children? If not, why?

I called and asked because with all the craziness they told me my husband was allowed but no kids and if my husband was sick for him not to come and if I was feeling sick to reschedule

I took my ten month old son my appointments have been in a hospital with confirmed Coronavirus patients but I have to go because I need to be seen by fetal and maternal medicine specialists, I have no choice all family lives 2 hours away, so I had to take him.

I took both my kids, 3 and 10 months, purely because I had no babysitters, but I just went to my midwifes office, so not many germs there

No because I was told it was going to be a hour to hour and a half. My 1 and 2 year old would have gone crazy. And I am glad they did not come because it ended up taking 2 and a half hours from checkin in having my apt and then getting blood work done.

I’m at my first appointment (the ultrasound one) and I couldn’t even bring my husband with me because of our hospitals rules with the pandemic. Totally understand why they’re limiting people, don’t get me wrong! I just wish this wasn’t happening so I could have brought my husband and son to share this experience with.

I didn’t take her to the first & second appointments because they are long. The first being an ultrasound and the second I needed a pap. But, with this virus going around I will probably just continue not taking her for the time being.

My little goes with me. My bigs do not. I try to schedule everything while they are in school. Plus, if something were to be wrong, I wouldn’t want them there.

I had to take my 19 month old because my husband unexpectedly got called into work. Also, wasn’t expecting it to be an ultrasound. Brought the iPad and a bubble game.

I only took my 2 and 3 year old cause I didn't have anyone to watch them when I went! I made sure my next appointment was on a day my mom can help, especially now with the virus scare I am sure they won't allow for now. I did buckle them both in their stroller last time though so they couldn't touch things or run around!

If my son were old enough to understand, I probably would have. He was only 23 months though so he stayed with Grandma.
