My first hamster

I have been wanting a hamster since between 18-19. I'm 21 fixing to be 22 and I finally made that dream come true. I spent almost two weeks getting my room ready for the new arrival. My mom was excited for me and so was my brother. I just got my furbaby today. He's a winter white dwarf hamster. His name is Andy.

Andy is a few months old. He's a young hamster but he eats well. He's currently asleep in his cage. When I got him close in the afternoon, he did escape his cage and I did catch him a few times. He even pooped on me a few times 😂 he initiated me! My mom helped modify the cage so he wouldn't keep escaping.

His cage is 476 sq in.
