Covid -19 spoiling my special moment!

TwinMumma

Firstly, I completely understand and agree with the measures put in place by the government and 100% will follow them. I am a teacher, pregnant 27weeks with twins and we are currently required to continue to be present and run our classes as business as usual.

I am going to take leave early because it looks like schools are staying open.

I know this is pretty selfish but my baby shower is in two weeks and I'm so devastated that after my miscarriages and struggles that I may have to cancel it. Waiting on Aust government advice. My elderly family have said they won't be coming which I completely understand but I'm still sad they won't be there.

I've been waiting for this moment to take special photos with family and friends and finally celebrate that we are finally going to have our miracle babies! This day means so much to me! I have everything planned and organised for it too.

I have heard that other countries say that for the first 6 weeks after birth mum and baby must stay in self isolation - it's also sad I can't share this moment with the people that have been so supportive of our struggles.
