Late, lighter, and shorter period

So I recently started birth control again after not being on it for about a year. I just finished my second pack of pills last week and ended up getting my period a couple days late and it also has been way lighter then normal and lasted 1-2 days less than normal. Is this just my body getting adjusted to the pill? Just curious as I’ve been on this exact pill before and my period has always been very consistent regardless of the pill or not.
