Curly hair tips?

Hiii
So I wanna actually learn how to do my hair. I would like to get highlights but my hairdresser told me that since I wet it every day to brush it, it would cause breakages. Any tips on how to style hair/keep it for multiple days without soaking it? I’ve posted pics of my hair for reference and kinda what I wanna get (lmk if it would even look good bc I’m not sure how it would look against my skin)!!

My hair isn’t the curliest right now my hair used to be much curlier but I had a lot of damage and I’m trying to get it back but this is what my hair looks like now some people say it’s more wavy some people say it’s more curly my hair is a mixture of both I think because one day it’ll be really curly for good hair day and another day to be really flat but don’t give up on it it can be a hassle but you will get used to it .￼￼

Only brush your hair in the shower when it’s wet and has conditioner on your hair. Wear a satin bonnet at night don’t brush your hair unless you really need to wash your hair every 3-5 days use
Silicone free paraben free sulfate free etc.. shampoo conditioner leave in and stuff you uses to Style  your hair ￼￼￼etc
