I just turned 38; divorced mother of twin boys (4 yo). I never thought I’d be a single parent but here we are. Twins father was abusive entire pregnancy - this made me hate being pregnant. I felt it was a horrible experience.

2 months ago I had the Mirena IUD placed (it’s been nothing but a headache) and now I’m having baby fever.

I’m not dating; barely intimate with anyone (last guy was a week ago, after 1.5 years of celibacy). But we aren’t in a relationship; more friends with benefits than anything (which is not my usual activities).

I don’t see myself trying my hand at marriage again, but for some reason I feel like I want another baby.

Someone please tell me it’s the hormones talking.
