What do you think about sharing pics of your SO on social networks?

So I have a question. I have been with my BF for almost 1 year and a half. Since we been together he has not posted any pictures of us together. He does accept when I tag him in the ones I post on my profile. He posts rarely. When he posts it’s usually with his friends. That’s all he has on his IG and Facebook. He even posted one pic where we were all in the picture with his guy friend I was the only girl but decided to post the one where I wasn’t in it. That bothered me. There is one “girl” friend he was friends with until she disrespected me by calling me out of my name and he stopped talking to her. I asked him to delete the pictures where she comes in but he hasn’t. I guess bc they’re “old” pictures. I just feel it’s weird that before me he use to post more than now that he’s in a relationship with me. Yes, I have spoke to him about all this I am sharing but his response is that he doesn’t get on socia much anymore and rarely posts also. What is your thought? Am I just over reacting.

My boyfriend has posted about me once or twice in nearly 3 years 🤷‍♀️
Doesn’t bother me because I know him well enough that he’s not “hiding” me. I know he loves me. 
He uses social media to talk to his mates and to catch up on stuff, rather than posting photos and other things himself. Some people just don’t feel the need to put their relationship on display for everyone to see.

Yes, I do think you are overreacting. You even said he rarely posts at all. Some people keep their relationship off of social media because that in a way invites people to comment on it. And why should he have to delete the photos of his friends just because that one girl is in them? He stopped taking to her, which shows a lot. Don’t take social media too seriously.

Thanks for your responses. Maybe I am overreacting. Or maybe a little jelly since all the other couples we hang with literally have all there Facebook profile picture with their SO. So makes me feel left out. You know?

My husband was that, and I would feel hurt, bothered by it. I got rid of my social media though. I'm much happier without it. Our intimate relationship has gotten stronger.

my bf has only posted me twice on social media, but that's bc i like to maintain my privacy. my accounts are private and any public ones are carefully curated so i never expose more than what i'm comfortable with. if he could he'd post a lot more. he's a very big romantic acts kind of person and ordered a poster of his fav pic of me as a joke bc he knew i'd find it tacky LOL. 
if your bf rarely posts i wouldn't make a big deal out of it. it's not as though he goes out of his way to actively hide your relationship.  i wouldn't find it reasonable to ask my bf to delete pics with a certain girl in them just bc i have beef with her. i have ex friends on my social media but the memories i had with them are good even if i no longer want them in my life currently.

My husband has only posted two pictures of us, I've posted maybe 5 times but I ask his every time if it's ok to post a pic of us and he usually says yes. We do not display our relationship on social media, we got married June 2019 and haven't even updated it on Facebook or anything. I think some men just like to keep things in the relationship and not make it everyone's business.

Mine is the same way and when I mentioned it he just stopped getting on it all. He says he just doesnt do much on it but he'd be on all the time looking at everybody else's but never posted. Weve been together for 2 years and the only thing hes ever posted was when I got him tickets to a concert for his birthday at the beginning of our relationship. It doesnt bother me now since he doesnt go on anymore but still annoyed a tad that he couldnt post anything ever about us except that one time. Hope that makes sense I'm posting in a hurry
