A lil bit of advice needed

As of now I am relatively new into sewing and am in the process of making my prom dress,the skirt portion us a full circle and when I try to hem it it ripples- I have no idea what to do, this is it after I pressed it with an iron

Hem is way too big. It’s curved so it’s stretching more. Feed through machine more gently and don’t pull on the part you are feeding in. Don’t worry about changing the foot you don’t need that to sew a hem

Here i used a rolled hem- will a single folded hem not ripple in the same way

You can also use horsehair binding. I use it on all my skirts and I only wear circle skirts.

The type of fabric you’re using is super tricky to sew with because it’s slippery! You can try changing the stitch length or the pressure of the foot, you can also get what’s called a walking foot - they’re commonly used in quilting. It feeds the top fabric through at the same time as it feeds the bottom. There are YouTube videos with more tips and tricks too but that’s what I’ve used in the past - good luck!!
