I live just outside NYC and my dad was exposed to coronavirus at work a week ago. I’ve been battling cold and allergies for a month but today I started getting a sore throat and this ache in my chest.

I can’t help but be terrified that a week from now I’ll be dying alone in the ICU, wishing I’d given my son more to remember me.

My Facebook feed is starting to fill with friends looking for prayers or offering condolences for their friends and family members already affected.

I’m 38. I should be fine right? A week ago I was nervous for my parents but now I am terrified for my whole family.

UPDATE

Took a nap after work and thought i was feeling better than as soon as I was up had terrible abdominal pain and indigestion. At first it reminded me of labor...then I started burping my brains out. Trying hard not to freak out, I read that patients admitted w GI issues tend to have worse outcomes.
