Whart are my chances?

So my husband’s first marriage they use Fertility Drugs because of her age and he was using steroids. They came out pregnant with twins but miscarried. Divorced. He then had a girlfriend who became pregnant and carried the baby all the way till she was born. As soon as the baby was born she stopped breathing. They said it was Sudden infant death syndrome. That relationship ended. She went on to have a baby with someone else. Now we are married, I’ve never had a baby. And he wants to have one. What are the chances of me carrying the baby and it living or coming out with birth defects? Is he the result of the babies not surviving? Is this common. I only ask because it happened with two different women. I know I should leave it in Gods hands and it sounds mean but I’ve been thinking about the a lot. I hope this doesn’t make me a bad person.
