Newborns and fevers?

My 4 week old has a temp of 99.6. Should i take him to the ER or call the ped?!

Not considered a fever until 100.4- that’s a normal temp

My daughter was 99.1 at her 2 week appointment and they said it was normal. Always call if you're worried but I'm not sure that's a fever.

I heard same as someone says new babies have higher temps so it’s normal but can call of course to be sure

Did you take the temperature rectally? If so you have to subtract .5 to 1 degree from the reading.
