Bucket list idea’s for Ollie

This is Ollie, Ollie is 3 and a half.
Is I had to describe Ollie boy in a few words they would be “ the bestest boy that ever was.”
A few years ago, When Ollie was growing his big boy teeth, We noticed that when each tooth fell out it was in very poor condition and he had very smelly breath. So we took him to the vet to have his teeth checked. Ollie is known to drink a LOT of water too. Like an extremely unusual amount.
So we thought that while we were there that it might be a good idea to have his bloods checked to see if he had any underlying problems.
After a bit of a wait, the bloods came back and it was confirmed that he did infact have an underlying problem. - congenital kidney disease.
For those who don’t know, Congenital kidney disease is fatal, No one could give us an exact time limit to how long he may have with us but going off his chart, the vet assumed around 6 months with a good low protein diet.
Well.. that was 2 and a half years ago and while Ollie had his ups and downs he’s had a relatively happy life.
Unfortunately a few days ago Ollie started going downhill. He has done this a few times and with a few days on intravenous fluids to support his kidneys and flush the toxins he has come good.
This time we haven’t been so lucky. Ollie stopped eating around 5 days ago and has spent the last 3 days at the vet on fluids to no avail. While his bloods came back at still a stage 3 - stage four being end stage. His Urea levels are VERY elevated which signifies that his kidneys are still having a hard time flushing the toxins even despite being on fluids.
Ollie is essentially starving to death because he refuses to eat.
The vet has decided that she will test his Urea levels again in the morning after another full day on fluids to see if they have dropped and if not she highly recommended putting Ollie to sleep which will end his inevitable suffering. She would have liked to have seen some improvement by now and she hasn’t which is concerning. I asked if I could bring him home on some strong pain killers to help him feel more comfortable but unfortunately that’s not an option because elevated Urea levels can cause things like fits, tremors and it affects the neurological nerves in there brain which can cause them to be aggressive and run Into walls, fall over ect which is not nice for them and it’s not very nice to watch either.
To say I am absolutely devastated would be an understatement. It’s not fair at all. For him or for me.
I am praying so hard that he comes good but I don’t like my chances which leads me to this question.
If it does come to the point where I need to send Ollie for a walk over the rainbow bridge. I am going to ask the vet if I can take him for the day to give him the best day possible beforehand.
I would hate for his last memories to be of him stuck at the vet on fluids - which he hates.
With all of this covid19 going around and all of the lockdowns in place I know it will be hard to do a lot.. but I was hoping that if you’ve made it this far that you could give me some ideas on things I could do with him, places I could take him - a little bucketlist for him to make sure he has the best day possible before he goes. So he knows I love him more than all of the stars. His last hoorah. Our last day to make memories before he’s gone forever. I will miss him so so so much. 😭
