anyone’s significant other had the varicocele repair surgery to increase fertility?

my fiancé and I have been trying for going on three years.. the urologist said his morphality is low due to a varicocele vain (they said he would be a good candidate for the surgery) but about 4 months after he was seen I got pregnant, which at 9 weeks we went for first ultrasound and there was no fetus, just gestational sac (blighted ovum pregnancy) so at 10 weeks I had a d&c which was oct 7th. I have regular cycles/periods every month. We want to increase our chances, I was wondering if anyone here has experienced this.
