Nickname for fourth generation family name?

My husband’s name is John Morgan Temple lll, and he would love to make our son the fourth. What would you call the kid? My husband has gone by both John and Morgan at different points in his life, so we’d rather not use either.

Jack is a nickname for John so that would work fine. He could legally be John Morgan but go by Jack as a nickname

My brother is a IV too; he goes by his initials, but I call him Cuarto (“fourth” in Spanish) just because it frustrates him. My aunt calls him Cuatro (“4” in Spanish). I don’t know if she calls his son Cinco, but I’ve always said that I’ll call him Quinto when he’s older. So your son may have many nicknames.

Jack is a very common nickname for John. Also one of my absolute favorite names for a boy (but my husband has a friend named Jack- whose full name is John- so I won’t be able to give a son that name 😩).
