Breaking up with bf of 4 years?

So I’ve decided to break up with my bf of 4 years. I’m not getting into details. But i didnt decide this bc someone cheated or anything crazy so its not like I’ll be leaving after a fight. I did it over the phone this morning which was tough but i cant really see him right now... i might drive over tomorrow and put his stuff in a bag to give back to him and talk to him then (from my car bc social distancing) to make sure we’re on the same page and because it almost doesnt feel real bc its just over the phone.

Basically, anyone gone through a breakup from a relationship that long and not bc of something intense like cheating or whatever else???

Its tough bc i love his family, my family loves him. We graduated high school together and have been going to university together the past 3 years. We were decent friends before dating. And we’ve been inseparable the past 4 years and have a lot of the same friends and are realllly good friends with each others friends. Its gonna be really hard.
