Why does being a pet parent have to be so hard sometimes? ☹️

We just found out our dog has to be put down tomorrow. A couple days ago she started throwing up and then started refusing all food, even treats. My husband brought her to the vet today for a check up and they found tumours. They told us that because of her age and breed even if we tried to do treatment the prognosis isn’t good and we would be better off to have her put down. They are giving her an anti nausea drug so that she can come for home the night for us to say goodbye but we have to bring her back tomorrow to be put down and they aren’t even allowing anyone in the vets office because of coronavirus. 😭 We just had to put our other dog down about six months ago. I’m devastated because even though we knew she was getting older for her breed, just last week she was so lively, running around happily and seemed like a healthy dog. I’m not ready to see her go and it makes it so much harder that we can’t even go with her to her final appointment.
