My husband wants to work overtime which is great! However, he has the option of working Friday evenings or Sunday evening. He always wants to work fridays because it's a different department and "not as physical" we work at the same place just opposite shifts so I know the difference. However, every friday I have to drive an hour and 10 minutes to pick up / drop off my son. So, that is about 2 and a half hours of driving EVERY friday night. He is upset that I prefer him to work Sundays because 1. He'd get more time with his other son that he picks up fridays. 2. We'd actually be able to spend more time together as a whole family. 3. Driving 2 1/2 hours with 3 kids while also being pregnant does NOT sound like a good time. I can't stop constantly because someone in the car needs to pee or is hungry. They are 9 and 5. My son is 3. He doesn't understand my reasoning and plays it off as I don't want to spend time with the kids. I told him I'd love to spend time with all 3 kids doing something outside or playing, but sitting in a car for that long is NOT quality time nor does it sound fun for anyone of us. Am I wrong?
