So I really need to buy new underwear for when after baby is born or can I just throw a pad on the underwear I have? FTM here so I’m not sure.

I het high waisted panties, I used the mesh panties for a while because they worked fine for me and why not I had a ton. I say high waisted because if you have to have a c section you don’t want your panties sitting too low in or near your incision. I also use the pads the hospital gave me then once my bleeding slowed I switched to always infinity pads they’re super comfortable and they don’t break me out.

I usually wear boy shorts and continued to do so post partum with no issue. I did rock the mesh undies for a while though, like probably 2 months since my nurse sent me home with a million pairs. I think the bigger issue is in case you have a c section, you don’t want underwear lines anywhere near the incision. These are the pads I graduated to after the huge hospital ones and they are awesome!

I felt a little weird using these because I was always a tampon user pre-pregnancy but honestly these were the bomb!! I wore the hospital mesh panties with their jumbo pads at first but after they pulled out 2 of my staples I pulled these out of my bag!! I would also wear the high waisted panties someone else recommended with always flex foam pads - that was probably the golden combination as it didn’t press on my incision at all. But truly I didn’t bleed all that much after the first day.

I ended up buying these. So glad I did too because I was scheduled to have a vaginal delivery but ended up having an emergency csection when the baby got stuck. I used these until my incision healed enough that it didnt hurt to have the waistband of my regular underwear touching it.
