I’m scared. Sad. Will things be normal by August?

I’m due August 1st.  What a time to be pregnant and working.. both husband and I play big roles in bringing in money
I’m so scared, of all these deaths, makes me worry for everyone
freaking out.  When will this end...

I don’t think we can expect and end to this until a vaccine is finished. Even then it will always be around like the flu. Eventually self quarantine will be over but I don’t think they will loosen hospital regulations.

It will peak, and then numbers will fall, but it won’t “go away” for awhile. Some people will start getting back into a more normal way of life while still trying to keep safe and take precautions, inevitably treating this like any other virus/flu (I see this happening in the coming months). Then you’ll have your high risk groups who will/should still be extremely caution and avoid crowds and such until there a vaccine. Lastly, you’ll have those that are so mentally effected by this that they will refuse to leave their homes. I absolutely expect to see a rise in agoraphobia, PTSD, hypochondria etc.

I don’t think things will ever be “normal” again in the sense of returning to everyday activities before the virus. It will most likely come in waves. We are going through one right now, and asian countries are showing that there there is a high possibility of another wave. The government will have to lift the orders during summer but studies show that the virus will be around until the vaccine is available.

the pandemic? depends on how well people are at protecting each other and flattening the curve. in the us, more and more cases keep popping up. in terms of life in general, probably not for a while as economists are fearing a worldwide recession coming.

Try using masks all day and your husband as well when you’re working our out. I would also use gloves or if not just wash your hands after touching anything.
