Everyday racism during pandemic

Something very interesting happened to me today...while on a walk with my son I asked a man walking with his wife and daughter to move over and give me more space. I was pushing a stroller and they were walking. The girls moved over on their own and the man seemed annoyed at them moving off the sidewalk and into the grass. His reply was "No, you move, you black" 😳 his wife looked ashamed and his daughter yelled "papa!"

I just kept walking. I'm so upset. Not surprised because of where I live and that I've gotten similar vibes from other men while on walks with my son. So the only thing I have, walking with my son, has been tainted by racism.

I live in NJ. I'm one of the only black people I've seen in this development of mostly Indian Americans. I'm not one to point this stuff out but what the actual fuck yanno?
