What is the best time to stop breast feeding? I am only 1 week pp but wanted to know every bodies opinion on when to quit?

When me and baby is done. With my oldest that was at 14months. WHO recommends 2years.

My first stopped around 18 months. He just gradually wanted it less and less then quit completely. I plan on letting my newest little one call the shots too.

Every body is different.  Breastfeeding is hard.  I had to stop around 8 weeks because I was not producing enough.  I sat down every two hour pumping.  My son couldn't latch on properly and was born 1 month early.  I gave him formula.  All I can say that is a moms choice on when she stops or if she does breastfeed.  A feed baby is always the best thing!!!

Totally up to individual parents and children. My goal with our first was to nurse for six months but due to a blood condition and the need for non-nursing approved medication, I had to stop at 10 weeks. It was heartbreaking because I wasn’t ready to stop and there was no weaning. It was abrupt and I sat in my doctor’s office crying while holding our son the day they told me. I had been pumping and freezing because we knew there was a chance, but I still wasn’t ready. My freezer supply lasted another month or so and then we transitioned him to formula and he did well. 
With our second, I have the same goal of six months, but I am also more emotionally prepared to accept that might not happen. One upside is the medication I tried with our first resulted in huge complications, so we won’t try that again! Hoping for a healthier postpartum experience this time.

I stopped at 6 months, I felt ready for my body back, I went back to work at 3 months and I couldn't pump enough to keep up with the freezer stash so 6 months was right for us but now I miss it
