Maternity robes...?

Question

Are maternity robes all that great? Do you think they’re worth the money? Or are maternity pjs better? What to get...there’s so many options and I’m overwhelmed. I just want to be comfortable.

This is what I got, once delivered and was able to take my first shower I changed into this. I also went to Walmart and got a $9 robe to throw over it. It was nice and comfortable i never really used it once I was home I still use the robe.

My husband calls me “grandma” but I love just a traditional nightgown lol. I didn’t breastfeed though so I know this doesn’t work for everyone. I’ve never liked robes so I wouldn’t have wasted money on a maternity one.

I got this.  Super comfy, light, stretchy, soft, and good for postpartum too. It has buttons on both sides of the chest area for breastfeeding.

I think neither are necessary. I just used the same size pajamas as before pregnancy. They just went under belly instead of over eventually

I ordered this and the baby be mine brand. This is the one I ended up using. It was perfect. The belly has snaps to allow modesty with fetal monitors. It has snaps down the back and nursing. The snaps are tight together making them hard to unsnap by accident. (Something the baby be mine does) I was also able to use this dress as a temporary baby sling during skin to skin. I’d tuck her in my dress to walk around. Of course I still supported her but the versatility of this dress is amazing.
I liked the baby be mine but it had some drawbacks this one doesn’t. The baby be mine is fading after a few washes. The drawstring immediately deteriorated because it’s a stretch fabric and breaks/pulls the stitching. I ordered the L/xl in that one and even though I wear a 1x (200 lbs) (5’5”) I wish I’d gotten the s/m. 
The baby be mine is also cute with the matching baby outfit but my baby is too small to fit the outfit so by the time she can wear it mine will be too faded.
So for me I would highly recommend the Coolme. The nursing staff at my hospital was very impressed by the quality and functionality of that dress as was I.
