Body Dysmorphia / Eating Disorders ???

Question

Hey ladies. Would any one of you be willing to share your story if you have gone through body image issues eating disorders etc?? I have been going through it for more than half my life and just wanna know i’m not alone! Thank you 💖💖

I'm in my late thirties. I had body dysmorphia in ny teens, early twenties. I thought that I was fat, sometimes made myself throw up, then binge eat, then throwing up again. The eating was partially hormonal, partially from stress. I was a very timid and shy person, very hard on myself. I alyas thought that I should look like the supermodels from the 90's, early 2000's (yep, the anorexic, heroin chic era). I had to learn to love myself. Life moved on, things happened in my family, I became more accepting and grateful for everybody and everything, even for myself, not taking anything for granted. This was in my late twenties. I happened to find my old sports doctor's records from high school and realized I was at normal weight all along. My weight normalized, and hadn't have any major problems since then. It was all about love and acceptance. 🙏🏼💖🙏🏼💖🙏🏼💖

Had an eating disorder since I was 17 years old. I’m 32 now, currently in therapy for it. It’s really hard and I fucking HATE it. There’s not much to say, you can message me if you have a question....

Yea I had an eating disorder around 14 -17. I would go on these insane grape juice diets and work out like my life depended on it. I would grab my skin around my belly and look in the mirror and in my head that was fat. If my legs jiggled that was fat. My arms were disgusting to me I couldn't wear tank tops. If my mom made me eat I would immediately throw up afterwards. The one thing that stopped that was the idea that my teeth would start rotting out. I eventually started eating again after I saw a picture of myself and I had bones poking out everywhere. It was worse looking then I thought I looked before. I made a routine of how to eat healthy instead of starving myself and working out non stop.
