Should he wait?

I need some advice please. My son has hypospadias he was supposed to get surgery last month but they rescheduled till the 16th of this month because of the Coronavirus. The doctor called me yesterday and said it was my choice wether I wanted to get his surgery done on the 16th or not. His surgery is a little over an hour away. He's 8 month old. They usually recommend getting the surgery done between 6-9 months.I can't decide if I should reschedule or not? I need help please!

I would get it done ASAP. The older the child is the more often they need a secondary surgery. My son had a not so great pediatrician when he was a newborn they kept putting off the referral, by the time I got a new pediatrician they were shocked that he hadn’t had the surgery when he was an infant. He had to have not 1 but 2 surgeries to repair the hypospadias. That was heart breaking 😖

My son got his when he was 8 months old. Was playing as normal later that day! Sooner rather than later though.
