Question for those who had sex & went into labor?

So I’m 38+2, was told I was in early labor at 37+6 was contracting for 24 hours & dilated to 2cms. I’ve had a few contractions here and there but nothing serious. I’ve tried everhthing to get them to come back, I’m over feeling so tired and crampy but nothing progressing. We’re going to try sex to see what happens, if you had sex and it worked how long until you went into labor?
