When should I tell him I love him?

My boyfriend and I have been together for a little more than 2 and half months. Before all this coronavirus stuff happened, we were in college, sleeping everyday together etc etc. The feelings I have for him are so strong, and we both feel the same way. I don’t wanna put a time frame on it but I feel like I’m getting to the point where I want to say I love you and he does too, he’s mentioned it but we haven’t actually said it. I’m a little scared because I feel like maybe it’s too early but my heart says other wise. What should I do? How do I know I’m ready?
