What languages are you speaking

Question

To your baby at home? We are doing primarily French and Spanish. English is for daycare only.  Has anyone had babies go through language confusion?

Only English. 
But I don’t know any other languages.

We speak 3 languages at home. Most of the time she hears 4th language too. 
Me, my husband, brothers etc speak with her in Greek.
Her grandparents speak with her in Russian and one other dialect. 
Also I watch and listen everything in English so she is familiar with this language too.

My older 9 year old son speaks English as first, Swedish as second (in school) and Russian. He studies Finnish in school and next year they start French. At 9th grade he will have to pick one more. So it will be 6 languages when he finishes school.

We live in the UK and speak to baby in Urdu at home, and occasionally English. He will learn English once he starts nursery/school.

3 languages for us and she’s doing well! I’m a clinical psychologist and worked with bilingual kids for a very long time, they all did just fine, just took a bit longer to start speaking. It’s so enriching. If you have the possibility to teach them multiple languages go for it, especially if it’s your own mother tongue as it’s a lot more than a language that you will be passing on to your child. The best way is to stay consistent so it is easier for the child to navigate different languages, so for example each parent sticks to one language

My kids are speaking English and German. Not a lot of German but it’s more for my Oma(grandma in German) , as she gets older her mind keeps going back to German instead of English. My kiddos are still toddlers and there’s no confusion so far.

I’m English so me and her dad speak to her in English...we live in Romania and her dad is Romanian so we are teaching her...however we live in Transylvania which is mainly Hungarian speaking so all his family and most Of our neighbours speak to her in Hungarian😂 she can respond to Hungarian and knows names of animals in toys in both English and Romanian
