Do you think living in a studio is worth it?

Do you think it’s worth it to live in a studio vs a one bedroom to save money? Living in a studio I could save $500 a month in my budget where as with the one bedroom I could only save $200 a month. Studio is 500 sq ft and the one bdrm is 750 sq ft.

500 sqft for a studio is really good. My first one bedroom was 600sqft lol

Yes especially if it's just you and no kids. I personally loved my little studio when I lived in one and would be in another one if I was single again. I'm also very much into minimal "stuff" and so being able to not have to fill up a house with a bunch of shit is nice.

If I was single I would definitely live in a studio and I did for a year before I met my now husband. I was happy and comfortable there. If I had a SO or children, nope, not worth it.

I think it's worth it if you're single or maybe just a minimalist couple who doesn't mind sharing space. I plan on moving to a studio during residency, at least until I finish all my education.

It’s totally up to you. I enjoyed living in my studio apartment, but I prefer having a bedroom better. ￼

Depends on the area. Is the studio in a neighborhood with high crime rates? Not worth it. Would the one bedroom result in a short commute? Worth it.

I think it depends on where you live and your current situation. Around here my mortgage (3 bd 2 bath house on a half an acre) is cheaper than some apartments. I don’t think I could really say without knowing more info about your situatuon
