my boyfriend doesn’t want to talk to me

i’ve been with my boyfriend for about 2 years. i love him, he’s sweet, kind, caring, etc. but only when we’re physically with each other. which is very much not often, even before quarantine. he hardly ever texts me. i ALWAYS have to text first and even then i sometimes don’t get a response. it makes me feel like he doesn’t really care about talking to me. and it wasn’t always like that... he used to text me all the time and want to call me and his texts used to be so so so sweet. now it’s like he’s texting a coworker or catching up with a friend or something. i’ve brought it up to him multiple times and he always says that he’s sorry and that he’ll fix it and start talking to me more. nothing ever changes. i know that other relationships have much bigger problems and i might sound real whiny right now, but i feel like i shouldn’t have to beg for someone to want to speak with me. am i wrong for feeling this way?
