HSV-1

I just got a full STD test and everything came back negative. Then i realized they don’t test for HSV-1 or 2. I got that test done and i tested negative for HSV-2 but tested for HSV-1. I have gotten cold sores before so i am not surprised, even though I have not received one in awhile. I’m just worried about if i need to tell my partner / future partners, or what that means for oral sex/my sex life. Does anyone have any advice or resources I could visit?
