20 week ultrasound?

I have my 20 week ultrasound on Wednesday! Although my husband cannot come with, I’m still very excited. But when I spoke with the office today they didn’t mention anything about how I should prepare for it.
Is there anything I need to do? What should I expect while I’m there?

I didn’t have to do anything. Didn’t drink extra water and they asked if I needed to use the bathroom before we started. It’s just a long ultrasound and sometimes they’ll tell you what you’re looking at, such as “this is the arm”. They take a bunch of measurements. Then after, the tech went and checked in with the dr and came back and said it was all good. If there had been a concern, the dr would have come in to talk to me. It was around 45 minutes.

Have a semi full bladder when you go. I drank maybe a half bottle of water and the tech said it was plenty and actually made me pee a couple times lol. Other than that just enjoy seeing your little one :)

i would recommend wearing leggings, but there’s nothing specific that you need to do. my scan lasted about an hour but he was also not cooperating so it might take less for you.
