Wow, I am still kind of shocked by this. So I'm sixteen and never have really been in a serious relationship, so I was feeling lonely, and created a profile for a teen dating app. I wasn't really thinking and had my full name and it tells other people where you live. So anyways, first couple days it goes fine. But today things got crazy. So this guy starts messaging me, asks me for my Gmail and I think nothing of it. He then wants me to video chat with him and do some things that I would be uncomfortable with and I replied with "No thanks, I'm good." He then finds an address (which happened to be my old one) and names my family members which creeped me out. Then proceeds to tell me that he will give people that address and put my family and my photos online. So I block him on the website and telling him off and that he could go to jail for giving away addresses I believe. (I apologize, I may not be right on the 18 years). So here is where it gets super crazy, he tells me that he is going to shoot my family if I don't and tries to turn it on me and say that I wanted them to die.

I knew this was a manipulation tactic so I started to ignore him. He then created a whole other account on the website just to continue messaging me.

At this point I kind of broke down and decided to tell my dad. He sent an email to the guy, and he hasn't texted/emailed me again. I then deleted the app. This definitely was a big lesson for me not to just have your information that can be seen by anybody, and I wish that I had put more thought into that. Sorry for the long post I just needed to get that off my chest.
