Medication for reflux?

Is anyone else giving their baby medication for reflux? If so, what kind and how is it going? I’m a FTM and my baby has been fussy during some of his feeds due to reflux so the doctor prescribed lansoprazole and I will start giving it to him tomorrow. I am kind of nervous about medicating my 8 week old but plan on doing so since that’s what the doctor is recommending. My baby is gaining weight just fine. His only issue is showing discomfort to various degrees in most feeds. Any advice/thoughts/experiences would be greatly appreciated:)

I do! If your baby truly has relfux it’s a lifesaver.

It take 2 weeks for it to fully get into my babies system! Once it did it helped a ton! Didn’t take away all of the fussiness but did take away a good share of it! Completely stopped all the puking! Life saver!

My daughter is 6 weeks and has reflux and we started her on Zantac but then it got recalled so now we are on that medication and it doesn’t work as well as the Zantac but def better than nothing.

We are almost 7 days into our first time w reflux meds as well. My LO is almost 7 weeks. We spoke w the doctor for similar symptoms. He is gaining weight but has a lot of discomfort and fussiness w feedings and a lot of spit ups hrs after feeds. I forgot to ask our MD how long it takes to truly work. Below someone said 2 weeks , I read it could take up to a month. I would say within the first week I’ve noticed a difference. I don’t think all of the discomfort or fuss has gone away but I think 50% improved. The spit up has improved A LOT. He’s no longer vomiting curdled milk so that’s really cool. He Rxed omeprazole 2ml once a day
