Need Acanthosis nigricans advice + PCOS Vent

"Dark velvety skin on the back of the neck, under the arms and in the groin area due to higher levels of insulin"

Anyone have any over the counter products that could help facilitate getting rid of the darkness? I'm on Metformin and have been keeping my insulin/sugar levels under control but my dark parts ain't leaving 😭. Would love some advice! Dr isn't to knowledgeable on acanthosis nigris than the standard PCOS where she gives Metformin and BC.

I HATE having this. I'm chubby, have to deal with being hair-ier than I like, lack of periods and add on dark patches and I'm screaming.

- Don't wear short dresses cause of chubbyness.

- Forget bout sleeveless clothes when it's hot... Dark underarms

- Hairy. I am Asian, black hair. Thick hair all over and pale skin. I look like I have a shadow on my skin 24/7 if I don't fucking shave my face or body parts where the hair is miraculously finer than my leg hairs that look like a wire brush. When I do, my god the difference is ridiculously obvious.

- Losing hair. FFS I'm hairy, how am I losing hair on my head but can be hairy in other parts? Damnit body, you got it flipped. Make head hair hairy and body hair less!! My room carpet has patterns that when you look closer it's my fucking hair making them.

I've dealt with the hell's of acne, the maturing of body and boobies and periods. Thennnnn, it goes to hell. No period, weight gain, added hair, losing hair, add on genetic health issues (OSA and mental health) and I'm tired already 🤯. Hahahaha.

I needed to vent tbh 😂 How's everyone dealing with cabin fever in pandemic? Staying safe I hope :)
