How can I wash my clothes by hand?

Kind of gross but oh well. The washing machine broke and all our clothes are dirty! I’m sick of wearing dirty clothes. I don’t have to go anywhere at least but still, makes me not feel good to wear dirty clothes. Can I wash my clothes in the bathtub by hand? Has anyone tried this before?

Yes you can. If you are able to financially though, you I recommend to find out if there’s a laundry service in your area.

The my used to do it back in the day. Why not? I say go for it. Try to find something that has texture to rub them against to knock off any dirt or filth. Maybe a bucket lid or something hard and with texture. Or just use the actual piece of fabric to rub against itself. 
I was off all my 1 year old’s clothes under the faucet when she has a blowout, to get it as clean as I can before washing it, and I just scrub the fabric against itself with some laundry soap. Then rinse really well and hang to dry.

Yep, when I was a kid our machine broke so we washed by hand in the bathtub. It was hard on the back but it's definitely doable.
I'd recommend starting small and do a bit at a time. There's nothing worse than trying to do a massive load and wanting to quit half way through.

Yes I had to do it twice cus my machine broke but just put everything in tub wash with hot water and ivory soap! Scrub a lot and then just squeeze the clothes to take to your dryer :) def hard work but at least you’ll have clean clothes until you get your new washer in!

Yes absolutely. We lived in a place for six months that didn't have the fittings for our washing machine so we just handwashed in the bath. It's a lot of effort but it worked fine.
