I made a resolution for myself this year to focus on self care. I’ve been to therapy in the past, I went to one session with a therapist and didn’t go back. Then I tried again with a different therapist a few years later, went twice, and didn’t go back.

I feel like I obviously didn’t give therapy a fair shot, and didn’t get past the part where your therapist is trying to get to know you.

i just have a really hard time opening up to people, especially to strangers. Any one have any advice?

I’d like to go back once COVID is over. But I think it’s so awkward to talk about feelings, especially to someone who is just getting paid to listen..

What’s your experience with therapy? Ang advice for me?
